# How to Join Community Sale on Starship (A step-by-step guide)
## **Before you join the launchpad, make sure you have:**
**1. Coin98 Super Wallet**

**3. Tokens for Launchpad**
The token used for a launchpad depends on each launchpad project.
For the C98 token please refer to this guidance: [How to get C98 token](https://docs.coin98.com/products/coin98-token/how-can-i-get-the-coin98-c98). If you already have C98 BEP20/ERC20/SPL tokens in the wallet, you can use [SpaceGate](https://docs.coin98.com/products/spacegate/convert-tokens) to convert them to C98 VRC25.
## **Here are the steps to join a launchpad:**
### **Step 1: Login by OneID**
Visit Starship website at
Click the **Login OneID** button on the top right corner to log in with the OneID you want to use for launchpad registration.

Make sure to select the OneID with verified KYC.

### **Step 2: Connect your wallet**
Click the **Connect Wallet** button on the top right corner to connect the wallet.
The currently active wallet on your Coin98 Extension will be automatically connected. If you want to change to another wallet, please open Coin98 Extension to choose another wallet.

Connected wallet will be used to pay for purchased tokens
In case you are joining Starship round, the quantity of Starship NFTs intended for the Starship round will be counted in the connected wallet.

### **Step 3: Choose a launchpad to join**
On the Homepage, click **Community Sales** on the header, or click the **Explore More** button under the **On Sale** section to see the launchpad list.

### **Now you are all ready, let's join the Sale**
### (A) For a Guaranteed or FCFS Sale
### **Step 4a: Register for a launchpad**
On the Launchpad detail page, click on the **Register** button. There are different types of launchpads and each launchpad has different requirements.

### **Step 5a: Join the Sale**
During the **On Sale** period, click the **Buy Now** button to purchase the amount of tokens you desire. Approve and confirm the transaction to complete the purchase.

### **Step 6a: Claim Fan Card and tokens**
You can refer to the [Fan Card Usage & Claiming Guidelines](https://blog.starship.network/fan-card-usage-claiming-guidelines-cnaxi8qv6br5) to claim Fan Card and then claim the tokens later depends on the claiming timeline.
### (B) For a Subscription Sale
### **Step 4b: Subscribe to the Sale**
On the Sale detail page, click **Commit C98** button

**Note:** Make sure to commit your funds to secure a token allocation during the subscription period.

Select the Starship NFT you want to use for the subscription and click **Confirm**.
Then input the amount of C98 you wish to commit and click **Confirm Commitment**
### Step 5b: Wait for the calculation and the final allocation
After the subscription period ends, Starship will calculate your allocation based on the total pool and oversubscription rate. The total token will proportionally be divided among all subscribers. If the sale is oversubscribed, your allocation may be less than your committed amount.

**Note:**
* Your committed funds will be locked until the allocation is calculated.
* Your committed funds is not the final amount to buy the tokens in case of over-subscription

### **Step 6b: Claim the tokens**
There are 2 scenarios for Subscription Sale.
**Scenario 1:** If the total subscribed amount is under the Hard Cap, participants receive their full allocation based on their committed C98 tokens. Project tokens are distributed via Coin98 Vault to the wallet address that is linked to the OneID used for the subscription.
**Scenario 2:** If the total subscribed amount exceeds Hard Cap (Over-subscription), you have to take two actions:
1. claim project token through Coin98 Vault, and
2. redeem the over-subscribed C98 on the Sale detail page after the sale ends following the announced schedule for timing.
